A 21-year-old aspiring rapper from Philadelphia has filed a paternity lawsuit against Jay Z, claiming that he is the “Holy Grail” rapper’s love child.
The lawsuit was first reported on by the National Enquirer and also confirmed by NJ.com. It was filed by Rymir Satterthwaite, who claims that his mother met Jay Z in the early 1990s, in December 2014.
Satterthwaite says that Jay Z lied in court in order to avoid having to take a paternity test.
That court proceeding took place five years ago when Satterthwaite’s mother, Wanda Colley, first wanted Jay Z to take a paternity test. However, a New Jersey Superior Court judge tossed that case because he determined he lacked jurisdiction. Colley claims that Jay Z and his lawyer gave the judge false information in order to get the case tossed.
The New York Daily News caught up with Satterthwaite’s godmother, Lillie Coley, on Thursday. She said that they plan to speak more about the case publicly soon.
Jay Z is currently married to singer Beyonce Knowles and they tied the knot in April 2008. They are also parents to Blue Ivy Carter, who was born in January 2012.
