During All-Star Weekend in New York City, Kevin Durant vented his frustrations about dealing with the media.

ESPN reports that the Oklahoma City Thunder star forward was upset after questions were asked about the job security of coach Scott Brooks. Durant then criticized the media for their lack of information on the situation and added that he doesn't care to speak with them either.

"To be honest, man, I'm only here talking to y'all because I have to," Durant said. "So I really don't care. Y'all not my friends. You're going to write what you want to write."

The statements come as a surprise as Durant is known for his soft-spoken persona off the court. Durant went on to say that the longer his career has gone the more comfortable he has become with expressing himself. According to the Houston Chronicle, Durant also noted on Friday that the media had too much power in voting for awards.

Durant isn't the only athlete to call out the media recently as Seattle Seahawks runningback Marshawn Lynch has also expressed his issues with the press.
