While Lindsay Lohan has admitted in the past that she has done cocaine, she and her mother Dina are still suing Fox News for suggesting that they used it together.
On Monday, the two filed a defamation lawsuit against Fox News, Sean Hannity and his guest, Michelle Fields, reports The Associated Press. In the suit, they claim that Hannity and Fields said that Dina and Lindsay did cocaine together during his Feb. 4, 2014 episode during a discussion about Philip Seymour Hoffman’s death.
Lindsay and Dina want the clip of the discussion taken off the Hannity site and are seeking unspecified damages.
Fox News already sent Dina and Lindsay’s lawyers a letter over a year ago though, noting that they already apologized on air, reports TMZ. The network also said it would send them a DVD of the apology. A second letter said that the video was removed from the show’s site.
“The Lohans did not make any demands for money, and we are surprised they are doing so now,” a Fox News rep told TMZ.
In February 2010, Lindsay did say that she was addicted to cocaine. Her mother was also rumored to be using cocaine in 2012 when a fight with Lindsay went public. However, Lindsay came to her mother’s defense and said that she was not on cocaine at the time.
Lindsay was seen in an Esurance Super Bowl commercial on Sunday.
