The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has apprehended the suspect they believe to be involved in the fatal “road rage” shooting of a Tammy Meyers.

The Associated Press reported that around 2 p.m. local time police went a residence one block away from Meyers’ home where she was gunned down a week ago and arrested the suspect.

The woman’s husband, Robert Meyers, came to the scene where the law enforcement officers were gathered and was heard screaming, "There's the animal, a block away."

As previously reported police had been searching for the suspect that the 44-year-old Meyers allegedly had some type of altercation with after a near-accident last Thursday.

On Wednesday, police said that Meyers went to her home to get her adult son, who was armed with a handgun, and followed the suspect for a bit. She and her son eventually drove back to their home and when she got out of her car, someone in the vehicle they were previously following drove by and opened fire. A bullet struck Meyers and her son returned fire.

The mother of four was taken to a local hospital, but was taken off life support on Saturday.
