Melanie Griffith reveals if she plans on seeing her daughter Dakota Johnson star in the anticipated film, Fifty Shades of Grey.

While attending Clive Davis’ Grammys party in Beverly Hills last Saturday, Griffith told reporters that she would not be seeing her daughter star in the film Fifty Shades of Grey based off the 2011 erotic novel by British author E.L. James, according to E! News. Griffith said, "No! Would you want to see your child having sex like that? Just regular sex, I couldn't do that. But the 'room of pain' sex? I definitely couldn't do that!"

Griffith continued to explain that she would not be seeing her daughter play the role of 21-year-old college student Anastasia Steele, who develops a sexual relationship with a 27-year-old successful businessman named Christian Grey. "She would be very uncomfortable if I saw it, and I would be very uncomfortable if I saw it," she explained. "So we would never be able to talk about it, so why would I see it? You know what I mean?

The 57-year-old actress also revealed that she did in fact read the books, but before her daughter took on the lead role. "You have to read. I read it was before she was cast in the movie," she said.

Even though Griffith has planned on not seeing her daughter in the film, she still has been a very supportive mother since Johnson first landed the role. "I was so happy for her when she called me," she said. "She goes, 'Well, I just got Fifty Shades of Grey!' I was like, 'Oh. My. God!'"

Fifty Shades of Grey, which opens on Friday, February 13th, also stars Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey, Rita Ora as Mia Grey, Luke Grimes as Elliot Grey, and Eloise Mumford as Katherine Kavanagh.
