Need to catch up on 40 years of Saturday Night Live before Sunday’s 40th anniversary special? It will be a difficult feat to accomplish, but NBC has a new app that can help.
The peacock network just launched the first SNL iPhone app, which is available for free. You can watch over 5,500 sketches that have aired on the show since it debuted in 1975.
You can search the sketches by stars, topics or specific characters. And if you ever get an error message, Rachel Dratch’s Debbie Downer character pops up, notes The Hollywood Reporter.
Sadly, there are no musical performances and some sketches aren’t included due to licensing difficulties. But there’s still over 300 hours worth of content available, so no SNL fan will be bored.
The app also includes 60 SNL-inspired emojis.
It is currently not available for Android, but will be soon. Since it is free, you do have to sit through brief ads.
Entertainment Weekly has a video of how the app works.
The SNL 40th anniversary special airs on Sunday. You can check out the full list of guests here.
