Yes, it’s that time of year already. Although we’re still in the midst of the 2014-15 TV season, the networks are already starting to think about next season and that includes NBC. The peacock made an easy decision to renew all of its hit dramas.

NBC picked up Dick Wolf’s two Chicago shows - Chicago Fire and Chicago PD. Fire will be entering its fourth season in Fall 2015, while PD will be starting a third. There could also be a third Chicago series joining them, since the Chicago Med spin-off is now in the works.

Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, which is also produced by Wolf, will get a 17th season in the fall. It’s the only remaining Law & Order show on air, but still has a few years to go before matching the original show’s 20-season run.

Grimm has become a rare Friday hit for any network and will be starting its seventh season next season.

Lastly, NBC has picked up The Blacklist with James Spader for a third season. The show got the coveted post-Super Bowl slot on Sunday. The Sony Pictures TV show is averaging an astonishing 5.1 18-49 rating this season.

“The creative vision of the executive producers who’ve guided these outstanding dramas has been nothing short of incredible,” Jennifer Salke, President, NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “We’re highly appreciative of the passion they bring to their shows at every step of the creative process and we’re thrilled to reward that dedication with these renewals.”

NBC did not make any decisions on the freshman shows that are still airing. Debra Messing’s The Mysteries of Laura received a full freshman season, while Constantine didn’t. State of Affairs with Katherine Heigl also didn’t get renewed at the moment and only has a slim chance of survival.
