Netflix played a cruel trick on House of Cards fans on Wednesday, which now appears to be accidental.

The streaming site, also responsible for the award-winning original series Orange Is The New Black, posted the highly-anticipated third season but pulled it down about 20 minutes later.

The Hollywood Reporter reports they appeared to prematurely release their first original show by 16 days, as the Season 3 premiere date is set for Feb. 27.

Anyone visiting the House of Cards page on Netflix’s website could see that Season 3 was available for viewing and users could select episodes to watch.

The Kevin Spacey-starring show also features Kristen Connolly, Michael Kelly, Michael Gill, Nathan Darrow and Sakina Jaffrey and has been nominated for Emmys and Golden Globes.

The show's Twitter page has responded with, "This is Washington. There's always a leak. All 13 episodes will launch February 27."

Netflix also said in a statement, "Due to a technical glitch some Frank Underwood fans got a sneak peak. He'll be back on Netflix on Feb. 27."
