Laverne Cox, who currently stars on Netflix’s Orange is the New Black, could get a series of her own. She has signed on to star in a new legal drama pilot for CBS.

The pilot is titled Doubt and was written by Tony Phelan and Joan Rater, who are both Grey’s Anatomy veterans. It will be a CBS TV Studios production, with Sarah Timberland (Justified) and Carl Beverly as executive producers.

According to TheWrap, Cox will play a supporting part as Cameron Wirth, a transgender attorney who is both serious about her job and funny.

Doubt’s lead character is a successful defense lawyer who gets stuck in a romance with a client who could still be found guilty of a crime. That role has not been cast yet.

As The Hollywood Reporter notes, the role will be Cox’s biggest part since she became the first openly transgender actress to receive an Emmy nomination. She was nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy for OITNB.

Other guest roles have included parts on Faking It, Girlfriends’ Guide to Divorce and The Mindy Project. She also guest hosted ABC’s The View.
