Rosie O’Donnell has officially filed for divorce from Michelle Rounds, her wife of three years.
The news comes just three weeks after O’Donnell announced that she is leaving The View to focus on her family. She also confirmed at the time that she and Rounds split.
According to People, the divorce papers were filed on Friday in Manhattan State Supreme Court. She called thier relationship “irretrievably broken” in the documents.
The documents state that they do have a prenuptial agreement.
O’Donnell and Rounds married in a quiet ceremony in August 2012 and they are the parents of 2-year-old Dakota. They currently have shared custody.
O’Donnell also shares four children with her ex-partner Kelli Carpenter.
The View host had only rejoined the ABC daytime talker in July. While she cited her health and family as reasons for leaving, there were rumors that her relationship with co-host Whoopi Goldberg had soured.
“Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention,” O’Donnell’s rep said on Feb. 7. “This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first.”
