Rosie O’Donnell will leave ABC’s The View once again after next week following almost five months as a co-host. This is her second exit; she left the show in 2007 before her 1-season contract was up after a heated on-air dispute with Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
This time, O’Donnell is leaving for more personal reasons. She has split from her wife, Michelle Rounds, and will put her focus on her children.
“Rosie has teens and an infant at home that need her attention," O’Donnell’s publicist said in a statement, CNN reports. "This has been a very stressful situation. She is putting her personal health and family first."
The network didn’t mention any replacements, but did say in a statement they support her and look forward to welcoming her back in the future.
"Rosie is an immensely talented star who comes in each and every morning brimming with ideas, excitement and passion for the show," said ABC.
"When she told us that she wanted to exit The View we respected and understood her desire to put her well-being and her family first. We're delighted she's still part of the ABC family with upcoming guest appearances on The Fosters. And we know she'll return to The View often with her unique point of view and updates on her work and her family."
The network welcomed her back in July and she went on to join Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie Perez and Nicole Wallace this season, though Perez only returned this week after she was busy with rehearsals for her Broadway show Fish in the Dark.
O’Donnell married rounds nearly three years ago.
