If you want to know what Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively named their newborn daughter, the best thing to do is go straight to the source, especially since earlier reports on her name turned out to be false.
Reynolds and his wife, Blake Lively, welcomed their baby girl close to the New Year and speculation ran rampant that they chose the name Violet for her name, E! News reported. However, it has turned out that this is actually not accurate and, well, we still don’t know what the baby’s name is!
In an interview with USA Today while discussing the horror-comedy film The Voices, Reynolds was asked about the six-week-old baby girl. When he was asked about her name, the new father said, “No that’s not the name. I don’t want to get into that but I don’t know where that came from.”
He also revealed in the interview he has had many sleepless nights and that while he might be busy working, he was “more excited to get a good night’s sleep” while attending Sundance.
So this means baby girl’s name is a mystery. However, while at the Sundance Film Festival for the film Mississippi Grind, he revealed to E! News that fatherhood was “amazing.”
Reynolds once joked that he would name the baby “Excalibur Anaconda Reynolds…that’s if it’s a girl.”
