Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is now taking responsibility for the ending of Super Bowl XLIX. Wilson threw an interception at the one-year line, securing the victory for the New England Patriots.

Seventeen days after the play that left everyone watching stunned, Wilson recorded a video for The Players’ Tribune. Over the four-minute clip, Wilson discussed the game from his perspective.

“One yard. I'd be lying if I said I haven't been thinking about that one yard for the past 17 days,” Wilson said in the clip, notes ESPN. “Everyone wants to know how I feel. Well, it's complicated. Walking off that field in Arizona and seeing disappointed Seahawks fans in the stands was anguish. How could I not feel like I let them down? I tried to be positive, but I'm not perfect.”

Wilson said that he now feels “hungrier to get in the weight room and film room” so he can help lead the team to Super Bowl 50.

“How do I feel? I don't know if I can fit it into a sound bite,” Wilson continued. “I definitely couldn't fit it into a 30-second Instagram video. So, after the Players' Tribune roundtable event on Saturday, I had the camera crew stick around so I could talk it out. Sorry if it's not perfect. There was no script here. I just wanted to talk directly to the 12s. This is for you.”

The interception ended one of the craziest Super Bowls in recent years and possibly ever. After the Patriots came back from a 10-point deficit with just 10 minutes to go, they gave the Seahawks two minutes to march up the field to take the lead. Wilson and Marshawn Lynch almost did just that, helped out by Jermaine Kearse’s insane catch. But Patriots rookie cornerback Malcolm Butler intercepted the ball at the 1 when Wilson decided to throw instead of pass the ball to Lynch. The Patriots won, 28-24.

Wilson won the Super Bowl last year, so if he comes back for Super Bowl 50, that will be his third consecutive trip and he’s only 26.
