Jimmy Fallon dusted off his Neil Young impression last night on The Tonight Show. While he usually performs current pop hits in the role, this time he sang one of Young’s most famous songs, “Old Man.”
It turns out that there was a reason for him picking the song. That’s because the real Neil Young joined him, wearing almost identical clothes.
The sketch wasn’t really funny, but it was cool to see.
Fallon has performed songs as Young countless times. He’s done Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy” with David Crosby, Graham Nash and Stephen Stills. A few years ago, he did the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme. Of course, his most famous Young sketch is “Whip My Hair” with Bruce Springsteen.
Fallon is hosting the Tonight Show from Los Angeles this week and last night’s guests also included Ellen DeGeneres. Steve Carell, DeGeneres and Reese Witherspoon also joined Fallon to play Password.
