In a new commercial for Audi Saturday Night Live actress Vanessa Bayer makes elevator goers uncomfortable as she takes on Fifty Shades of Grey’s infamous elevator scene.
E! News reported that in the commercial, Bayer spends the entire time making elevator riders very uncomfortable, such as telling someone “I’m not a cop” while holding handcuffs and telling another that she is working on her “kegels.” There’s also a moment where she tells a man wearing a purple tie that his tie is “very grey.”
The commercial pokes fun at the movie’s elevator scene, only instead of sexy as the scene likely will be, the commercial is only intended to be completely silly and uncomfortable. Bayer reportedly told Mashable, “[The director] allowed me to improvise quite a bit. So it was really fun, to just, based on the different people coming in the elevator, to just kind of come up with new, funny bits to do with them.”
The book mentions Audi quite a bit, such as when Christian Grey gives Anastasia a car from the company.
Just recently, a parody of the film’s trailer was uploaded to YouTube- in LEGO form. As previously reported, an account run by Antonio and Andrea Toscano on YouTube uploaded a video featuring Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in LEGO form.
Fifty Shades of Grey hits theaters on Feb. 13. As previously reported, the book’s sequels, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, will also be adapted into movie form.
