The Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is something both men and woman look forward to every year. We wait to see all the insane bodies these women have and we look to see both new and old faces.
Many a model has hit stardom thanks to the annual issue. Kate Upton's back to back covers made her a household name and we've since her in both movies and television since her covers debuted. She helped pave the way for curvy, voluptuous woman to be a part of the tradition, following in the steps of Tyra Banks, Brooklyn Decker and Bar Refaeli.
This year's magazine hits stands on February 9th and plus size model, Ashely Graham, 27, will be the centerfold of the first plus size ad in the swimsuit edition!
"I know my curves are sexy and I want everyone else to know that theirs are too. There is no reason to hide and every reason to flaunt," the model said in a statement about her campaign for swimsuitsforall.
Graham is a beautiful size 16 and has been featured in Elle , Harper’s Bazaar , Glamour , and Latina , according to US Weekly.

The campaign will feature the hashtag #curvesinbikins to celebrate women's curves and loving you own body with Graham insisting that hollywood's idea of a 'healthy body" isn't right for young girls.
"Jennifer Lawrence is the media’s poster girl for curves — she’s tiny. There needs to be more education in schools, because that’s where eating disorders start. It’s not just about being healthy; it’s also about loving who you are," Graham said in an interview with The Edit.
“It doesn’t MATTER if you’re a SIZE 2 or a 22; you can be healthy as long as you’re taking CARE of your body” she also shared.
Her message is inspiring and we can only hope that her ad will open the door to many more plus size models being a part of the swimsuit edition. Soon, there may be a plus size model on the cover!
