Mike Judge's new hit sitcom Silicon Valley comes back with another round April 12, and HBO posted the first trailer for the new season to prove it. A majority of the primary cast is here to let people know more Silicon Valley is quick to arrive, and they also want to let you know "this s**t gets real."
/HBO posted the first official trailer on Friday. It doesn't necessarily show much, or even any new footage from the new season most likely, but it does witness Thomas Middleditch, T.J. Miller, Martin Starr, Kumail Nanjiani and Zach Woods in hyper-slow motion enjoying — or not — another day at work at Pied Piper. It's around when Miller comes in cussing and calling people out for using his specific shampoo and putting artisanal butter in the microwave that the trailer lets audience know things will get real.
Despite a majority of the episodes not quite living up to its pilot, Silicon Valley showcases some strong character dynamics, naturally funny dialogue and Judge's typical cleverness in ordinary situations. It was — and still is — disheartening to know Christopher Evan Welch, who played billionaire and key player Peter Gregory in the series, passed away before filming concluded in season one. It should make one curious, however, just how they are going to address the actor's untimely passing, which is another question to be answered this April.
Check out the trailer below. Silicon Valley was renewed for a second season back in April, which fellow sitcom Veep also gaining another season:
