Actress Liv Tyler gave birth to her second son earlier this week and Aerosmith singer Steven Tyler sure is one proud grandpa. He told his fans that he was at the hospital to see his new grandson being born, but almost didn’t make it.

On Facebook, the “Dream On” singer said that the moment he heard Liv was going into labor, he rushed from where he was to get to the hospital where she was.

“When I landed I kept calling my daughter Mia Tyler who was already helping Liv and she kept giving me minute by minute updates, ‘HURRY THE BABY IS COMING!’” Tyler wrote. “I made it RIGHT in time before my second grandson entered this world. It was another (God wink) moment of a lifetime for me.”

He also posted a picture with Liv, still in bed, and Mia, all smiling for the camera.

Liv’s baby was born on Wednesday. He is Liv’s first child with boyfriend Dave Gardner. She was previously married to Royston Langdon and they had one child together, Milo, 10. Gardner also has a son from a previous marriage.

“He’s healthy and everyone is very happy,” the Lord of the Rings actress’ rep told People. However, the baby boy was born six weeks early and will remain in the hospital for several days.

Liv currently stars on HBO’s The Leftovers.
