The lawyer representing former music mogul Suge Knight claims that they have a video clearly showing that Knight was ambushed before a fatal hit-and-run on Jan. 29.

Knight has pleaded not guilty to a murder charge and other charges related to the crash. Police say that Knight struck Terry Carter and Cle Sloan on Jan. 29 after an argument on the set of Straight Outta Compton in Compton, California. Carter died and Sloan was left seriously injured.

However, Knight’s attorney has maintained that he was running from an assault and that he was friends with Carter.

Now, Knight’s attorney claims that he has proof to back up that story. Attorney David Kenner told The Associated Press that the video shows an “ambush.” It was taken from a surveillance camera at the burger stand where the crash took place.

Prior to the AP report, TMZ reported that the video appears to show a fight before the crash. It also looks like Boone and another person have guns in their hands. After the crash, a person takes the gun from Bone’s hand and walks away. TMZ’s sources also believe that Carter was part of the ambush.

Knight had his bail revoked, so he will remain in prison until his next court date in March.

Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Times reports that Knight is also facing a new felony charge stemming from a September 2014 incident when Knight and comedian Katt Williams allegedly stole a camera from a photographer in Beverly Hills. Knight’s new charge in the case is threatening to kill or severely injure the photographer. He will be arraigned on that charge on Feb. 19.
