Teresa Giudice’s Real Housewives New Jersey co-star, Jim Marchese – the husband of cast-member Amber Marchese – doesn’t like it’s appropriate to bring her back to the Bravo show when she leaves jail.
Giudice surrendered for her 15-month jail sentence over a month ago in Danbury, Conn. and Marchese doesn’t think it sends the right message to keep a convicted felon on the show.
“I just don't think it's appropriate for her to be on this type of show any longer,” the outspoken Marchese, who clashed with the other cast-members and their husbands on his wife’s first season, told People.
He went on to say her “fan base will be disappointed” at how tame she will need to be if she returns because she’ll likely be on probation. “Her trademark table-flipping will no longer be a viable option," he mused.
"If there is any type of altercation, she will immediately go to jail. For example – she flips a table? She goes to jail because if she did that in a public place, that would be considered disorderly conduct in my opinion,” he said. “She will be violating her parole."
Teresa’s husband, Joe Giudice, will serve a 41-month sentence when she finishes out her sentence. They were both indicted on multiple counts of fraud.
Marchese went on to say his wife, Amber, has had a difficult time launching her businesses because of their association with the Giudices.
"It’s very difficult to have any major endorsements at this point because of Teresa," he said. "Point blank, they tell us, 'We don't want to be associated with felons.' That's the first thing they think of. I get it. It taints the show."
Upon Giudice's release from jail, there will likely be more interest in her than ever but it's ultimately up to the network if she will return or not.
