After braving the zombie apocalypse, The Walking Dead's Emily Kinney will soon be taking on a prominent role on The CW's The Flash.

According to ScreenCrush, Kinney has been cast on The Flash as the Bug-Eyed Bandit, a villain of Atom in the DC comics.

The original DC character was Bertram Larvan, though the character will be gender-swapped on The Flash to Brie Larvan. In the comics, Larvan is a scientist who uses an invention to control insects, including beetles and spiders, and he uses them to commit crimes.

In Arrow, the show which The Flash is a spin-off of, the character of Atom is played by Ray Palmer. As pointed out by ScreenCrush, Palmer will be appearing in an upcoming episode of The Flash airing on March 17, so it's possible this episode could be Kinney's debut.

According to ComicBook.com, Kinney has been seen filming a project in Vancouver, and the actress recently tweeted that she was working on a project that she would announce soon.

It isn't officially confirmed yet, but the evidence seems to be pretty convincing.

Emily Kinney appeared on The Walking Dead as Beth Greene. *Warning: Walking Dead Spoilers Ahead* Her character was killed off in the show's recent midseason finale, which upset a whole lot of fans. But while Beth might be gone, fans can at least see her on The CW pretty soon.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 on The CW.
