Katy Perry impressed at last night’s Super Bowl halftime show. She turned the Super Bowl field into her own concert area and brought in her unique signature style to the viewing audience around the world.
Now the only question left is who will be taking center stage at the biggest event next year? Will the NFL continue to recruit chart-topping pop starts like Beyonce and Perry, or will they go in a totally different direction? The stage has been graced by many musical superstars and is a coveted place in music history.

Maroon 5 is known for their unique rock/pop anthems and would be a perfect candidate for the halftime show because they have incredible stage presence and aren’t afraid to show off their musical skills when it comes to play instruments. The band is known for hits like “Payphone” and their recent hit “Sugar” which both showcase how high energy and eccentric their performance could be.

Carrie Underwood is a country superstar and is a stand out female artist. Underwood is a mom-to-be soon but could be back in shape and ready to perform by the time the next Super Bowl rolls around.

8. Pearl Jam
Pearl Jam have become a part of rock ‘n’ roll history and is still making music today and touring the world. This would be a different direction for the NFL but would feel like a return to the kind of acts like Bruce Springsteen and The Who. It might be time to change it up and doing something different for halftime.
