If you missed last night’s Grammy Awards, we have one question for you… WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?
Last night’s ceremony promised a mixture of exciting performances, eye-catching fashion, and a star-studded guest list and it delivered in every aspect. The red carpet kicked off the evening’s events with appearances from nominees and performers a like. Artists Gwen Stefani and Katy Perry stole the spotlight. Honorable mention to Chrissy Tiegen as well!
Many of the winners were exactly as viewer’s predicted. Beyonce took home awards for both R&B Duo and Performance. Beyonce supporters worldwide were enraged when Beck took home Album of the Year. If you recall, Beyonce changed the game of music when she released her latest album without a drop of promotion.
As most people predicted, newcomer Sam Smith had a fantastic evening. Taking home four awards including Best New Artist, it’s safe to say that Smith’s In The Lonely Hour has solidified him a spot in the music industry.
And the PERFORMANCES! It wouldn’t be the Grammys without a number of captivating solo performances and a mixture of perfectly-arranged duos as well. Some of last night’s stand outs are Miranda Lamber’s electrifying “Little Red Wagon” performance. Sam Smith’s duet with Mary J. Blige for “Stay With Me” was faultless in all aspects while Pharrell’s rendition of “Happy” seemed to be a bit displeasing to the crowd in Los Angeles’ Staple Center.
