Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott is a singer-songwriter, rapper and record producer. Elliott is known for collaborating with producer Timbaland and working with numerous artists including Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, SWV, Keyshia Cole, Monica, Ciara and the late Aaliyah. Throughout her career, Elliott has won a total of five Grammy Awards and sold over 30 million records in the United States.
Elliott has five Platinum certified albums, with Under Construction reaching double Platinum status, and one Gold album (The Cookbook), making her the only female rapper to achieve this feat.
Elliott most recently performed in the Super Bowl XLIX halftime show with Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz. Elliott performed a medley of her hits including "Get Ur Freak On," "Work It" and "Lose Control." Her performance was well received and left fans, like myself, remising on some of her best musical moments.
With the hope of a comeback, here are my top 10 Missy Elliott songs from her career so far.
