Blue Bloods had an amazing episode Friday night, featuring cases that focused on Frank, Danny, and Jamie. In Frank’s case, he must deal with an investigation into a friend of Gormley’s named Louis Weems.
He is a detective who also dabbles in real estate and he comes under investigation due to owning an expensive car. He hasn’t been completely on the up and up, as Gormley first believed, and Frank must coach Gormley in understanding how he must handle working for Frank and yet investigate someone he considers a friend.
Danny and Baez are on the case of a young man named Diego, who is found killed in his apartment. They discover he was dating a young woman named Rada Radchenko, whose father Ivan Radchenko owns the building where he lived. She is a wealthy woman and they find out that Ivan was a former KGB in Russia who could be involved in the young man’s murder, especially since he wasn’t rich like he was. The case takes a surprising turn as they work to discover just what happened.
Jamie and Eddie are involved in a shooting when fellow cops come under fire from two individual. One runs off while the other is wounded and arrested before being taken to the hospital. He refuses to talk, though, and Jamie has to build a rapport in order to get information about Theo Salzer, the shooter, from Wally Cantrell. It becomes even more difficult when Wally’s health takes a turn for the worse and Jamie has to decide if he will do anything to help him.

7. Building trust
While it might not be building trust per se, Jamie spends time with a suspect, Cantrell, in a shooting in order to give up the guy who ran off from the scene. They talk about cars before the guy mentions that his friend got into an accident and broke his arm, so Jamie is able to relay this to the investigators. Jamie keeps trying to get information from him to help find his partner, but it’s difficult, especially when Cantrell develops sepsis and is trying to contact his mother.

6. Romeo and Juliet comparison
When Baez and Danny find out that the victim Diego was dating the daughter of a Russian former KGB who owns the apartments where he lived, they think it’s possible the girl’s father had something to do with the murder. Baez suggests it’s like the well known play Romeo and Juliet, even though it appears the families care about each other.
