In a very special episode of The Big Bang Theory, we saw our gang preparing for the reopening of Stuart’s comic book store. Howard is still feeling jealousy over his close relationship with his mother, who is away visiting Howard’s aunt.
When Howard sees furniture in the store that belongs to his mom, he flips out, causing Raj and Leonard to make an escape that leads them to actor Nathan Fillion in a deli.
As this is going on, Sheldon is upset because Amy helped his rival with a paper on string theory and he is not happy. He discusses this with Penny, who tells him he needs to learn how to let things go. Of course, this only ends with him revealing information about Amy and how she has used Penny in her own experiments.
By the end of the episode, devastating news rocks everyone when Howard gets a phone call that changes his life. The gang reflects on the news and we get a toast to a beloved character that is no longer with us.
In real life, Carol Ann Susi, who played the voice of Mrs. Wolowitz, passed away. The episode paid tribute to a beloved actress and co-star. Here are the top ten moments from “The Comic Book Store Regeneration.”

10. Lonely
After talking to his mom on the phone, Howard tells Bernadette that she asked them to check on Stuart so he isn’t “lonely” and he wonders why his mom doesn’t do that for him. Bernadette retorts and reminds him he is married.

9. Letting go
Sheldon is having difficulty with the fact that Amy helped another colleague and he vents to Penny, who tells him he needs to learn to let things go, which he doesn’t want to hear.

8. Visualization
Penny tries an exercise with Sheldon in helping him to learn how to let things go. She has him visualize that his problems he is having are a pen and then he turns the tables by telling her that Amy has been giving her puzzles to test her intelligence and once she realizes that this happened, he tells her to “let it go.”

7. Sheldon’s upset
Sheldon finds out that Amy helped out a fellow colleague on his paper, but it is someone Sheldon has a rivalry with since he is working in string theory, which Sheldon left for dark matter. He also can’t help but show he is upset that Amy helped someone who wasn’t him.

6. Uncomfortable
When tensions rise between Stuart and Howard, Bernadette tries to get them to leave, but Raj and Leonard decide to go get food, when they are actually trying to make an escape and do a fist bump for getting out of there.

5. Sheldon’s joke
Sheldon comes up with a silly joke about Thomas Edison and light bulbs. The punch line is that it doesn’t matter since he stole the invention anyway and that making a point makes the joke funnier.

4. Nathan Fillion
While getting food at the deli, Leonard and Raj see someone they believe is Nathan Fillion. At first, he claims he is not the actor, but eventually he admits he is. However, they don’t believe him, but they do get a selfie with Nathan.

3. Underpants
When Penny confronts Amy about using puzzles on her, they both turn to look at Sheldon when he comes into the hall, but he goes back into his apartment when he sees then. He tells them that he is not wearing clothes, to Amy’s dismay since she saw him with clothes. Then he opens the door after pulling down his pants.

2. Howard’s mom
Howard is in the comic shop with his friends when he gets a phone call from his aunt. When his friends finish arguing, Leonard looks over to see his friend looking distraught and he reveals his mom passed away in her sleep.

1. Toast
After the loss of Howard’s mother, the gang does a toast after talking about the memories they all shared with her.
