Hot Pursuit is an action comedy starring Reese Witherspoon and Modern Family’s Sofia Vergara. The plot revolves around an unskilled cop, who must protect the widow of a drug dealer from criminals and corrupt cops. The movie’s trailer exhibits Witherspoon and Vergara’s superb comedic timing as a team. In addition, the physical comedy aids the jokes making this a must-see for fans of both women. It opens in theaters on Friday, May 8.
The Age of Adaline is romantic drama starring Blake Lively, Harrison Ford and Ellen Burstyn. We follow Adaline Bowman (Lively,) who becomes immortal following a life-changing car accident. After living out many lifetimes alone, always moving and changing identities in order to keep her secret, she meets a man that she may be willing to give up forever for. The film’s trailer illustrates Adaline seesing her close friends and dear family members pass on while she stays young and ultimately alone. Then, she meets a man for whom she feels she can finally give her heart to and risk losing her extraordinary gift for. It opens in theaters on Friday, April 24.
Poltergeist is a remake of the 1982 horror hit. It stars Sam Rockwell, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’ Jared Harris and Jane Adams. Renowned filmmaker Sam Raimi modernizes this horror staple about a family whose home is invaded by angry spirits. The motion picture’s trailer displays the sheer terror the Bowen family feels when their little girl disappears following unexplainable happenings inside their new house. The feelings of fear and terror are amplified 100 fold with the use of incredible special effects that bring about tremendous explosions and truly scary occurrences that will have moviegoers as scared as they were watching the original. It opens in theaters on Friday, July 24.
