While some viewers who don’t usually watch Two and a Half Men any longer did tune in to see how it ended, not a lot did. In fact, the episode couldn’t even beat Scandal in the important ratings demographic.

Early numbers from Nielsen show that the hour-long episode drew 13.2 million viewers, which was a 50 percent jump from the previous week and its best viewership since Spring 2013, notes Variety. However, its 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic was behind Scandal, which had a 3.2 rating in the demo. (Although Scandal had 9.5 million viewers.)

The numbers for Men shouldn’t be something for CBS to really get excited about. It’s a far cry from Ashton Kutcher’s first episode, which drew a whopping 27.7 million viewers, notes Entertainment Weekly.

In addition, it drew less viewers than the standard The Big Bang Theory episode that aired at 8 p.m. That episode drew 17.2 million viewers and a 4.4 18-49 rating. The debut of Matthew Perry’s The Odd Couple remake drew 13.6 million viewers and a 3.1 rating in the key demo.
