USA Network has decided to pick up Colony, a new science fiction drama starring Lost’s Josh Holloway, to series.

The show acts like a Lost reunion, since it is executive produced by Carlton Cuse, the island drama’s co-showrunner. According to Deadline, Cuse is executive producing with Hercules’ Ryan Condal. It is a Legendary and Universal Cable co-production.

Colony is set in a future Los Angeles, where people live under the occupation of invaders. Some collaborate with them to survive and benefit, while others rebel against the establishment. Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead) co-stars.

Holloway is best known for playing Sawyer on Lost and this is his second attempt to get back on TV. He starred in CBS’ Intelligence last season, but it was cancelled.

As for Cuse, he’s had better luck since Lost ended. He’s a producer on A&E’s Bates Motel and FX’s The Strain.

While USA has cancelled Covert Affairs and White Collar has ended, it still has plenty of new programming to replace them. Mr. Robot with Christian Slater was picked up for a full freshman season and DIG will finally debut this year.
