Alberta Watson, a Canadian actress best known for her roles on 24 and Nikita, has died. She was 60.

Her death was announced by her talent agency, Gary Goddard Agency. “Alberta died in the arms of her beloved Ken on Saturday March 21st at [Toronto’s] Kensington Hospice after a long and incredibly courageous battle with cancer,” the statement reads. “A memorial service is being planned, the details of which we will share when we know them.”

Watson was born in Toronto and began acting in her teens. She is best known for starring on the original La Femme Nikita and also appearing on The CW’s version, Nikita. She also starred on 4 as CTU head Erin Driscoll, notes USA Today.

Other credits include the movie version of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, David O. Russell’s Spanking the Monkey, and appearances on Hill Street Blues and Law & Order.

According to ET Canada, she was diagnosed with lymphoma in 1998, while still on La Femme Nikita.
