Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer are returning to HBO for a new project called Madame X. The period miniseries would also include Jack Black among the executive producers.

Madame X will be based on My Notorious Life by Kate Manning and is written by Julia Hart (The Keeping Room. Lynn Shelton (Your Sister’s Sister) is directing.

According to Deadline, Paquin will star in the series and executive produce with Moyer, who starred on True Blood with her. They will produce under their CASM banner, with Black, who is producing through his Electric Dynamite.

The story is set in New York during the 1800s, with a love story and a family saga at the center. Paquin would play Axie Muldoon, a wealthy woman who helps her husband create a midwife business.

TheWrap also reported on the project, noting that HBO hasn’t officially announced it yet.

Black is set to star in his own HBO project, The Brink, which co-stars Tim Robbins.
