A newcomer to fatherhood, Ashton Kutcher isn’t just focusing on his new life with Mila Kunis and baby girl Wyatt. He’s snapped back to his old Punk’d self with his most recent involvement in hidden camera pranks for Lenovo tablets in Australia.
Disguised as an Aussie named Coodrey decked out in tattoos and a labret piercing with beach waves pulled back into a tiny man-bun and the finished touch of a weak accent, Kutcher messes with customers throughout the JB Hi-Fi store ET confirmed. Among the various humorous “sales techniques” he incorporates include, but aren’t limited to relating the tablet to sex positions, lying down on a mat with customers for a demonstration, kissing an elderly shopper, and showing animals mating on the tablet. Kutcher keeps his composure, and impressively his accent, under control. He simply comes off as a humorous yet totally inappropriate employee of Lenovo.
The main difference between this promotional stunt for Lenovo and his past Punk’d show is the target of the pranks. On the MTV series with co-creator Jason Goldberg, Kutcher targeted celebrities. Here, he’s targeting every-day people in a public setting, who are told after the fact that it’s Ashton Kutcher himself, which is understandable for cautionary reasons, but for the unsuspecting possible “fans” it’s disappointing.
As of right now it doesn’t appear that a new show will surface as a result of Kutcher’s resent stunt. Maybe one day baby Wyatt will host her very own show, unless her actor parents continue to keep her out of the public eye, as they have been according to Hollywood Life. For the benefit of us viewers, we hope Lenovo will continue to utilize Kutcher and his punk’ing talents that have viral potential in their future promotional services.
