At 93 years old and a decades-long career in show business, Betty White shared what her biggest regret in life is with Oprah Winfrey for Where Are They Now?.

White told Winfrey she regrets turning down her late husband Allen Ludden's proposals for a whole year. He died in 1981 from cancer.

Though they did get to spend 18 years together, White said she will always regret not accepting his proposal sooner.

“I spent a whole year, wasted a whole year, that Allen and I could have had together, saying 'No' I wouldn't marry him. Saying, ‘no, I won't leave California. No, I won't move to New York,’” she said, ABC News reports.

“I wasted a whole year we could have had together. But, we made it. We finally did,” she said.

Huffington Post reports White married the television host in 1963. They didn’t have any children together and White never remarried.
