What’s better than boring snail mail invitations for your Bar Mitzvah? A crazy YouTube video that parodies the biggest recent hits.
Brody Criz and his family got XpressVideoPro to help them put together an invitation video, featuring him singing new lyrics to Pharrell Williams’ “Happy,” John Legend’s “All Of Me,” Lorde’s “Royals,” Robin Thicke’s “Blurred Lines” and “Let It Go” from Frozen. Sure, we’ve seen plenty of parodies of all four already, but none have been in an attempt to get people to see a 13-year-old’s Bar Mitzvah.
The video features some hilarious nods to the Bar Mitzvah process, which anyone who has been through will get a chuckle out of. There’s a gag about Brody’s parents seeing the huge bill and another about Brody playing with his phone during the service.
Brody’s invitation was posted online on Feb. 26 and has already racked up 809,000 views.
There’s also a making of for the “Blurred Lines” section.
Hopefully, Brody can laugh about this when he grows up. Otherwise, he might wish he had his Bar Mitzvah before YouTube.
