This summer will be one of transformation for Bruce Jenner.

While recent reports claim that, due to Jenner’s fatal car accident, he would be putting his surgery on hold, RadarOnline confirms that is not true. Despite the accident, this will be the summer that the former Olympic champion has his gender reassignment surgery.

“Bruce’s doctors told him that he has to go through this operation at a time in his life when there is zero stress and that time is definitely not now,” a source exclusively told Radar.

It’s also been reported that the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star is filming a docuseries that highlights his transition from male to female and the impact it has on the Kardashian/Jenner clan. After the accident, production took a back seat and the source claims that “Bruce’s priorities have shifted.”

While some believed that Jenner already had his reassignment surgery, The Beverly Hills Surgical center where he was believed to have gone for the process claims that they do not perform those surgeries at their location. Meaning the surgery still has not been done.

“Bruce is not in any huge rush to have this operation,” the insider claims. “But of course he is still intent on doing it, as it is the last step for him to become the woman he wants to be.”

And it sounds like that final step will definitely take place this summer, once Bruce feels he is in the position to endure the process.

“The summer seems like a great time for Bruce to have the operation because he will be over this whole car crash episode and he will be in a place in his head where he can handle the operation and its aftermath,” said the source.

Best of luck, Bruce.
