Carrie Fisher thinks there is a curse on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, since both she and Harrison Ford have been involved in crashes in a matter of days. She claims she was in a car crash just days before Ford’s plane crash.
Fisher told The Daily Mail this weekend that she was in a car crash on March 1 in Los Angeles.
“It wasn’t that serious and I wasn’t hurt but it’s the first car accident I’ve ever had. I drove home and that’s when the wheel came off my BMW,” Fisher said. “My assistant told me I could have died if the wheel had come off when I was on the freeway.”
Then, on Thursday, Ford survived a plane crash in Venice, California. Fisher said that she hasn’t talked to Ford since the crash.
“I’m a bit worried it’s the curse of Star Wars,” Fisher added. “The thing about Harrison is that he’s always the coolest dude in the room. He just oozes manly manliness. I’m not surprised he landed the plane in one piece and survived.”
Fisher, who is known for trying to make a joke out of anything, told the Daily Mail that she’s about to call Mark Hamill next, since “things happen in threes” and she has to make sure he’s doing fine.
However, Fisher might have forgotten that three things have already happened. Ford broke a leg during production last summer.
Fisher is reprising her role as Princess Leia in the new film, while Hamill plays Luke Skywalker again. Ford is returning as Han Solo.
The Force Awakens hits theaters on Dec. 18. J.J. Abrams is directing.
