American Crime Story is shaping up well with its cast of characters and a new one has been added with Connie Britton in the role of Faye Resnick.
According E! News, Ryan Murphy, the creator of American Crime Story: The People v. O.J. Simpson, tweeted the news about her role saying, “Excited to announce my friend Connie Britton will play Fate Resnick in the upcoming FX miniseries The People v. O.J. Simpson.”
Britton joins the cast that includes Cuba Gooding Jr. in the role of Simpson, Sarah Paulson as prosecutor Marcia Clark, and David Schwimmer as the late attorney Robert Kardashian.
Resnick was a friend of Nicole Brown Simpson and had been staying at the residence before the murders took place. John Travolta will also play a role as part of Simpson’s defense team.
Resnick has written books about both the murders and the trial and she was seen in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
The Huffington Post reported Britton had worked with Murphy on American Horror Story. American Crime Story will follow the infamous 1995 trial over a course of ten episodes.
No premiere date has been set.
