If there weren’t enough Fifty Shades of Grey jokes during this past weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live with Dakota Johnson for you, the cut sketch will make up for it.
The sketch is supposed to be a preview of Fifty Shades Darker, the sequel to the successful film and E.L. James’ second novel in the series.
Christian Grey (played by Kyle Mooney, since Jamie Dornan wasn’t available) introduces Anastasia Steele (Johnson) to his new playroom. Unfortunately, the contractors working on it haven’t finished and - much to Anastasia’s horror - they know about everything the two of them do in there.
Johnson was the host of SNL’s first episode following the 40th anniversary special, with Alabama Shakes as the musical guest. As expected, the episode featured a few Fifty Shades jokes, including an awkward sketch with Kyle Mooney as a school newspaper reporter.
