Sharknado is so terrible that the stars of the franchise don’t hide that fact. David Hasselhoff, who is finally joining the series in the third movie, has already ensured fans that it will be “the worst movie you have ever seen.”
While chatting with HuffPost Live on Monday, The Hoff was asked about joining the SyFy made-for-TV movie franchise and could not stop laughing about it.
“The first one was the worst. The second one was even worse than the first,” Hasselhoff said. However, he’s still “so honored” to be a part of it.
“I had so much fun making the movie. The people who make the movie have such a great sense of humor. They are the nicest people. Everybody is in on the joke and it is so much fun. I mean, I tell you, this thing is going to go on forever.”
Thanks for the warning, Hasselhoff.
As Entertainment Weekly points out, Hasselhoff is playing the father of Ian Ziering’s Fin character. He is also not the only surprising guest star to appear in the new movie. Michele Bachmann, Mark Cuban and Ann Coulter are all making appearances. Tara Reid is also returning.
Sharknado 3, which has been titled Oh Hell No!, will premiere on July 22.
