Drew Barrymore isn’t putting any pressure on herself to lose the baby weight after having two kids pretty much back-to-back, because she realizes she’s blessed to have been able to carry her own children. However, that doesn’t mean she doesn’t get down about it sometimes.
Barrymore gave birth to her second daughter with husband Will Kopelman in August 2014. In December she admitted that her body bouncing back to normal right away is just “not my experience.”
“After making two babies, holy cow, does your body do some crazy stuff!" she told Glamour, admitting it can be “hard to stay positive and love yourself."
"You feel like a kangaroo with a giant pouch; everything's saggy and weird,” she went on to say. She then said when she feels defeated, she puts it into perspective.
Barrymore called it “beautiful” that she’s even “able to make children.”
“When I lose sight of that, I exercise, read Dr. Seuss’s Oh, the Places You’ll Go!, and spend time with my kids. Then I start to see things that are bigger than myself,” she said.
Barrymore and Kopelman have two daughters; Olive, 2, and Frankie, 11 months. They got married in 2012.
