Last week on Empire, Andre continues to spiral out of control with his bipolar disorder, Jamal comes out of the closet during his performance at the White Party and Anika goes to see Beretti, ditching Lucious.
Anika and Lucious are with a wedding planner when Cookie and Portia come in. Cookie tells the planner to go away and reveals to Lucious that Anika is teaming up with Beretti. Anika had Portia follow Cookie, but Portia, being closer to Cookie, told her about it and Cookie had her follow Anika.
When Lucious asked why she went to Beretti, Anika avoided the question. Cookie and Portia were throwing out all of her clothes and confiscated her call phone and car. Lucious reminds her that if she tells Beretti about his ALS, then her father would go to jail for fraud. This shakes Anika and she leaves anyway, Beretti picking her up.
Jamal is watching his music video with Ryan, who directed it. They talk about another musician named Delphine and her interest in Jamal's music. They start to kiss when Portia shows up and tells Jamal to get to Empire.
Malcolm does a clean sweep at Empire. Cleaning employees computers and cell phones.
Andre throws out his medication and pretends everything is okay when Rhonda goes into the bathroom.
At Empire, everyone is struggling to make sure they keep their artists and sign new ones to stay ahead of Beretti and Creedmoor Records.
Beretti asks Anika for dirt on Lucious but she doesn't tell him anything, claiming to be involved only for the music. He tells her about losing his son and how Lucious took his place, but then Lucious left with all of his money, so he wants to get back at him.
Cookie goes to the studio, the same one where Jamal recorded his song, to try and sign Royale-T to Empire. He tells her he'll sign if she can hang better than the guys at Creedmore, so they get ready to drink.
Jamal meets Delphine and they prepare to record a song together. He calls Lucious to tell her that she needs to be signed to Empire.
Cookie is the last woman standing after their binge drinking. So Royale-T decides to sign with Empire.
Hakeem goes to Lucious, angry about not being taught how to take over. Lucious tells him that he is showing Hakeem how to do things by letting him shadow his moves.
Cookie, clearly drunk and disorderly, gets mugged while leaving the studio. Luckily, Malcolm is there and gets her purse back. Cookie flirts with Malcolm but he tells her they can't do anything because Lucious is still in love with her.
Lucious loses another artist and is looking for Andre and the cash he had.
Jamal and Hakeem are in the elevator when Andre walks in. They tell him that Lucious is looking for him and the money and he tells them that he bought a Lamborghini. He gets into a fight with Hakeem and as Jamal pulls them apart, the elevator gets stuck.
Lucious and his men meet with Beretti and his men. They draw guns on each other and Lucious tells Beretti that he can keep Anika and that he got what he wanted and threw her away, just like he did to Beretti.
Malcolm sees that Empire is being Hacked, the reason for the elevator being stuck, and they rush over there.
Andre continues to lose it in the elevator. Jamal manages to calm him down by singing a song that they sang when they were younger.
Creedmoor is still doing better than Empire and Lucious finds out that Teyana is going to meet with Anika. Cookie and Hakeem leave to take care of that, while Jamal tells Lucious to put his disagreement with him aside and go sign Delphine.
Lucious tells Malcolm to call Rhonda so that she can take care of Andre.
Hakeem talks to Anika and asks why she is doing all of this. She tells him that she's just had enough. She later realizes that he is just stalling after she sees Teyana inside talking to Cookie. Hakeem goes inside while his posse blocks Anika from going in.
Cookie and Hakeem talk to Teyana and try to convince her to stay.
Lucious and Jamal meet with Delphine and her manager. They tell her that they want her to join Empire. Lucious later decides to sing "You're So Beautiful" with her and Andre, with Hakeem, Teyana and Cookie joining in later.
Rhonda is at Empire with Andre. He starts to get more violent as Lucious shows up. A team of paramedics show up and give him sedatives. They take him away in a stretcher with Rhonda almost hesitantly signing the papers.
There are only two episodes of Empire left this season and you do not want to miss a thing!
