New mom Eva Mendes welcomed a daughter with Ryan Gosling, Esmeralda Amada, in September but she isn’t ready to start doling out advice to other moms just yet.
The first-time mother is just six months in, so she admitted to Women’s Health she doesn’t think she’s “earned that right” yet.
“I want to respect all the moms out there,” she said. “They’re going to be like, ‘You know what? You’re a few months in. Just shut up.’ ”
She has said in the months after giving birth that she doesn’t have any hired help, but she now says that staying up with her baby at night is good “bonding” time for them.
“I’m actually enjoying the sleepless nights because it’s bonding with my little girl,” she said.
Mendes, 41, also made it clear she isn’t exactly thrilled about being in the limelight sometimes. She believes there’s a “public self and a private self” and admits walking the red carpet is “incredibly embarrassing” for her.
