Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach

My family and I decided to take a trip to Cancun, Mexico. We have always wanted to visit Mexico to explore their culture as well as the beautiful sites. We stayed at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach which is located at the Northern end of the Hotel Zone in Cancun. Its unique location gives it some of the most beautiful beach front property. It is conveniently located near shopping as well as supermarkets and pharmacies.

The resort is absolutely beautiful. The lobby is decorated with exquisite floral arrangements that are warm and welcoming. The entire resort is pristine.

We stayed in an ocean front junior suite on a Grand Club level of the resort. I highly recommend spending a little more for the Grand Club because it includes a variety of amenities that are otherwise not included in your stay. This resort is not an all-inclusive one.

Grand Club members have exclusive access to lounges and beach areas as well as expedited VIP check-in. As a Grand Club member you can enjoy complimentary breakfast on the beach or in their beautiful lounge. In the evening, heavy appetizers are served as well as delicious drinks.

The lounge is tranquil and has a wonderful view of the Ocean. If you are looking for a larger and more varied breakfast, Vina del Mar serves a breakfast buffet daily with pretty much any item you would ever want accompanied by the usual excellent service the Fiesta Americana provides. You do not carry your own plates at this buffet and your napkin is always perfectly re-rolled when you return to your seat.

Our suite was very comfortable and beautifully appointed with many amenities including plush robes and luxury linens. The wall facing the ocean was entirely made of glass, so your view was not obstructed, and led out to a private balcony. Returning to our room at night was always pleasant due to their turn down service which not only included chocolates but relaxing music playing and slippers and robes left right by your bed.

The service at the Fiesta Americana was top notch. Everyone was exceptionally professional, friendly and warm. There was always someone present when you seemed to have a question or request. Questions were always answered and requests were granted immediately.

The outdoor pool area was very inviting as well. There were a few pools which were connected somehow which gave a lagoon feel. There was always someone there to bring you a towels and head pillows and anything else you desired. The swim up bars had a relaxed feel and served some casual menu items like tacos and burgers.

The resort boasts three fine dining options for dinner and we were fortunate to sample all three. Our first evening we dined at La Joya which serves fine Mexican cuisine. My family enjoys Mexican food on a regular basis and this restaurant served us some of the best Mexican food we've ever had. The chicken with mole sauce was very rich and authentic to the region which boasts Mayan chocolate. The ingredients were all fresh and the dishes were expertly prepared and served. We had dinner at the beach front Isla Contoy which is more of a seafood restaurant. The night we chose to partake of their dinner buffet which looked too good to pass up. There were a variety of dishes and of course they had excellent seafood. The ambiance could not be beat as we were sitting mere feet from the ocean waves. Our final night there we treated ourselves to dinner at the renowned five diamond rated Le Basilic which serves Mediterranean and French food. The experience was what you would expect from a five diamond restaurant, flawlessly prepared food and impeccable service. I highly recommend all three of these restaurants.

The resort also is home to the Coral Beach Gem Spa. It is the only spa in the area to offer a 10 step hydrotherapy program which you are welcome to enjoy when you have a spa service booked. My husband and I enjoyed the hydrotherapy program and felt very relaxed yet invigorated at the same time and my skin felt great. We were able to enjoy the treatment while our daughter attended the Fiesta Kids program where she made crafts, built sand castles and played a variety of games under expert supervision.

Needless to say we did not want to leave the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach and are looking forward to returning soon.
