FXX has picked up the surreal sitcom Man Seeking Woman, starring Jay Baruchel, for a second season.
The cable network ordered 10 more episodes, which will air in 2016. In the announcement, FX presidents of original programming Nick Grad and Eric Shrier, praised creator Simon Rich for his original storytelling.
Man Seeking Woman is a FX Productions series and also stars Eric Andre, Maya Erskine and Britt Lower. It stars Baruchel as Josh Greenberg, who is desperately seeking love in a really bizarre world, filled with oddball images created by Jon Krisel.
“Working on Man Seeking Woman has been the creative highlight of my life,” Rich, a former Saturday Night Live writer said in a statement. “FXX gave us the freedom to make the show we love and they let us build some truly disgusting monsters. I’m so grateful to John Landgraf and his team for believing in us and I can’t wait to get back to work”
The series has averaged 353,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic, according to Nielsen Live+7 numbers.
