Shots were reportedly fired at Lil Wayne’s Miami Beach mansion, but the rapper was not home at the time of the incident.

The cops were called to the home on La Gorce Island, with the unidentified caller saying four people had been shot, threatening to open fire on the officers.

According to TMZ, police believe this might be a case of “swatting,” when pranksters call the cops about crimes that haven’t happened.

Lil Wayne is in Miami at the moment but he wasn’t home when police were called. His label, Young Money, whom he’s been having issues with, has tweeted an update.

“Wayne is okay. Wasn't home during alleged events,” the account posted.

NBC Miami reports a SWAT team and canine units are also at the home, where a perimeter has been set up.

A spokesperson said authorities have not been able to communicate with anyone from inside the home yet.
