James Corden is the most recent addition to late night television. He will be serving as the host of the Late Late Show on CBS and Tom Hanks will be his first guest. This has been a dream of Corden for a while and the new host is opening up about why Hanks is the perfect movie star.
People reported that back on a press tour for Into The Woods, he said that," Someone showed me a video from the Into the Woods junket ... and I'm saying, 'Tom Hanks. I just think he's the perfect movie star.' "
Now as Corden makes the final preparations for his late night debut, he is thankful that Hanks will be his first guest. "I'm so just overjoyed that he is going to be the first person that I get to talk to on the show. I just adore him and am such a fan," said Corden.
The opening show which will air Tuesday morning will also feature Mila Kunis. Despite admitting that he is nervous for the show, he is ready to take on the challenge, even if it might be a car crash in the making.
His wish list for talent doesn't stop with Hanks, he also added that having Bradley Cooper and Allison Janney would be great for the show.
