There are many role preparations an actor must do and Jared Leto had to say farewell to an important side of himself.

Leto has worked his way up in the ranks of Hollywood. He moved to Los Angeles in 1992 with the intention of pursuing a music career and take acting roles on the side.

While searching for film roles, he was cast in a television show that would change his life as he knew it. He was cast in the role of brooding, young heartthrob with his own set of problems, Jordan Catalano on My So-Called Life. The show boosted his actors resume helping him to score other roles even after the once-popular show concluded. All the while his band 30 Seconds to Mars got a label and he soon made albums that received more fame. He landed roles in large films such as Fight Club and Flags of our Fathers. In 2014, he won the best supporting actor Oscar for his work in Dallas Buyers Club.

Leto was recently cast in the role of The Joker in Suicide Squad directed by David Ayer's. He cut off his locks of long rocker hair and shaved his beard in preparation for his role.

Leto was bummed to see his facial hair go buh-bye.
