As reported in January, John Stamos has landed a new gig on a FOX comedy pilot. It’s now been revealed that his co-star, a son he never knew he had, will be played by former Nickelodeon star, Josh Peck.
Stamos and Peck both play fathers living dysfunctional lives in the upcoming show that’s set to launch this year. Peck, portrayed as a nerdy persona, raises his two-year-old daughter, a result from a one-night stand with another character, Vanessa, while trying to find work in a technology-based field. Opposite this dad, Stamos, who also doubles a grandfather in the pilot he executive produced, plays a sexy on-the-move bachelor, according to Deadline.
Rumors that One Direction band member, Zayne Malik, might play the role of Stamo’s son, were officially cleared up after the announcement of Drake and Josh star’s lead. Malik and Stamos have been said to be “hair twins,” which Stamos addressed several times through his Twitter account, Inquisitr confirmed.
Peck, proud of his new role, posted a side-by-side image on Instagram of himself and Stamos, revealing how similar the two look. They could easily pass as father and son outside of the show, as well. The caption reads, “Sooooo this is gonna be a new pilot for FOX. Uncle Jesse and Josh Nichols. Get excited people.” Currently most famous for his six-second Vines, Peck refers to the co-stars most prominent roles in their acting careers with this Instagram post.
The former Full House uncle also expressed excitement for the new cast member with his tweet “SON!!!!” at Peck confirming the latest news of the comedy.
The pilot, yet still untitled, may prove to be a comeback for both actors. Only time will tell if these two will mesh as well together as their looks.
