Taking up Seth Rollins’ offer, Jon Stewart appeared on WWE’s Monday Night Raw and took on the wrestling superstar in the ring.
Rollins made a surprise appearance on the Daily Show last week after the two exchanged words back and forth.
Before Stewart came out, Rollins just had to take some jabs at him while sitting in a mock Daily Show set.
“I wouldn’t show up if I were him either,” he told the audience. “I mean, Jon Stewart really wants to retire on his own terms. And if Jon Stewart showed up here tonight, I would force him to retire immediately because it is quite difficult to do a phony news show with your jaw wired shut.”
ABC News reports Stewart then came out in his suit to the tune of his show’s theme song.
Before kicking Rollins in the privates and sliding out of the ring conspicuously, Stewart told him he will never have the “respect” he has. He also told him he looks like “a SWAT team stripper with Lady Gaga’s hair.”
“You may be stronger than me, you may be better looking than me, you may be taller than me, you may be able to lift your arms above your shoulders, which I used to be able to do but can’t,” he told him.
