Kelly Osbourne is supporting Kathy Griffin’s decision to leave E!’s Fashion Police, capping off a couple weeks of drama for the show and its co-stars.
It all started with Giuliana Rancic’s comments on Zendaya’s dreadlocks, which Zendaya slammed on social media. Osbourne made it clear she did no condone the commennts on Twitter and quit shortly after.
Griffin then broke her silence on the debacle, and quit herself that same day.
“I could not be more proud of you @kathygriffin you have my love and support always!” Osbourne then tweeted.
As for Griffin, she explained her reasoning behind leaving the show in a lengthy post, writing in part, "I thought I could bring my brand of humor to Fashion Police so that beautiful people in beautiful dresses could be teased when appropriate. My brand of humor, while unrepentant and unafraid, is all about CONTEXT," and she won’t "contribute to a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance towards difference."
Girls star Lena Dunham also showed her support on Instagram, writing, “Congrats to my beautiful friend Kathy Griffin for bravely saying enough is enough to intolerance of all kinds on television. She's modeling a better way for the youths.”
